LOTW currently has four RPing environments, or as we refer to them areas. We hope to grow this number as the club continues to increase the number of its' members. Below is a recreation of one of the actual ships, the Táin Bó Cúalnge. Any member of LOTW can be on as many areas as they want, choosing to serve in either command, medical, security, science, or any other makeshift position they are interested in playing. The limit is only the number of characters you want to have! Scroll down and take a look at the MOTD of the USS Táin Bó Cúalnge. Farther below we will explain how we Role Play!
CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE: 1 credit = 2.5 platinum = 5 gold = 250 silver OR 1 platinum = 2 gold = 100 silver With 1 platinum being about 10 american dollars or british pounds and 1 credit being about 25 american dollars or british pounds. And yes, I know the pound and the dollar actually aren't equal...this is just for ease of use.

GUIDE TO AKERS BLUFF
Liberty Docks
Trying to find a captain who is hiring? Want to see who is coming onto the planet? I suggest you come by here, and talk to the new Dockmaster, Clark Marsden, or one of his lackeys.
The best saloon on the planet, The Last Drop, is run by Katy Ford. The glasses are clean, the booze isn't watered down and security ensures that everyone will have nothing to worry about as fights are ended quickly. Guests staying at the saloon include: Major Daniel McClelland and Dr Shane Howard.
Looking for farming equipment, odd goods, or a place to store or trade your semi-legal or otherwise merchandise? Strawberry seeds, farming equipment, llamas - nothing is too strange for the Sun-Campbell Warehouse and Corral.
Run by Dr Maddison Tahrin and Dr Oren Moreno, the Saw Bones is the place to get a bandage or a vaccination before you head out in to the Black
Kovar's Repair
Mule engine need a tune-up? Holocapture quit working? If it's mechanical and needs fixin', head for Kovar's Repair. Located just off Akers' main run, the shop is equipped for everything from space ships to wind-up toys. Just look for the big red sign and ask for Miss Joy Lee
The Alliance-maintained complex that includes a barracks for soldiers. The Alliance is always recruiting, so come be all that you can be...just don't upset Lieutenant Fox
From an off-the-peg Derringer, a heavy submachine gun to something distinctly newtech, Bryn Harkin can supply most anything you might want or need...and if he doesn't stock it, he can probably craft it.
One of the few small mining operations on Akers Bluff, the Vulture Mine was named for the only other significant population out in that part of the Wasteland.
The jail and Sheriff's Office is the second oldest building on Akers Bluff, (which is not saying much). The place has one office, which faces all the cells. Very high windows covered with hologaphs and bars keep the rain out. The place is very spartan. Sheriff Medwin Gellert and Deputy Sacret Wolv keep the peace
Murphy Finnegan works here, as a travelling showman representing the company that owns him: Bob's Sideshow. Murphy became indentured to Bob himself after losing his stake at gambling one time.
The Wastelands
Outside of what passes as civilization is the desert. The desert is harsh and dry and few people visit the wastelands for any amount of time. Or, if they do, they don't tend to return...
Job Openings in the Outer Planets

Head out to the ALLIANCE RECRUITMENT OFFICE - Soldiers can make a good living on Akers Bluff. Be all that you can be! Apply to Lieutenant Fox. Or, for those who operate on the other side of the law, SUN-CAMPBELL WAREHOUSE AND CORRAL is usually hiring lackeys and minions to take on whatever jobs are required. Apply to Kelvorn Sun-Campbell. Each RPing Environment contains a roster which lists all the players that are currently on that ship. In addition it gives information about what the characters name is, their rank and position, as well as biographical information. When you become a member, you will see additional information such as the players name, email, and when they last entered the site.
Through the centralized posting system you will be able to make posts as your choosen character. For the purposes of this demo, the Make New Post button is disabled. However, the demo will allow you to read actual notes from an live RP environment. Click Read New Notes to see how the system works. When you are a member of a ship you are able to not only read the notes that other players made, but reply to them as you read them. This eliminates working through threads on traditional BB RPG sites, or sort through emails from email based RPGs. Read through and see what you think!
